It seems ridiculous to talk about living walls in terms of Modern Methods of Construction. After all, the Greek historian, Dionorus, recorded a technically detailed description of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon which described how the garden was built on tiers with vaults which carried the weight of planting. However, recent advances in the technology of modern living walls enable rapid and easy installation, while delivering low maintenance and a huge degree of design flexibility.
