Over half of the heat generated in a homeis lost through the walls and roof, with around 15% escaping through the floor. The remainder may be lost through windows and doors, but the installation of high performance PIR insulation can help cut these losses dramatically. The challenge is many UK homes do not have sufficient fabric insulation, or it is poorly fitted.
