Recent events near where I live and work have resulted in some observations about the increasing activities of street gangs over the past several years. What is interesting is that my employment takes me to two areas of the state that are rather divergent in nature, but, sadly, similar in street gang-related issues. Because these geographic areas, at least on the surface, are so different, it made me pause and reflect.
