Desire finally gets its rig

After a long search, Desire Petroleum has finally signed a rig contract with Diamond Offshore Drilling to use the Ocean Guardian for work offshore the Falkland Islands. The terms of the contract are for a four-well, minimum 80 day campaign, under which the Ocean Guardian could earn maximum total revenue of US $19.6m. Mobilisation and demobilisation fees are estimated to be $16m.
