StatoilHydro said that its second quarter 2009 net profit was zero, while operating income came in at US $4.02 Bn), compared to $10.36 Bn in the second quarter of 2008. The Norwegian giant said the quarterly result was hit by a 40% drop in oil prices, an 18% decrease in the average price of natural gas and a 9% reduction in liftings of liquids.
