QGC's Surat Basin push

BG unit Queensland Gas Co (QGC) is pushing ahead with a three-well drilling campaign in the Walloon coal measures in licence ATP 574P in Australia's Surat Basin. The operator is looking firm up initial reserves for the permit by mid-2010. Partner Victoria Petroleum said QGC had finished coring the first well, Peebs-1, and carried out wireline logs and drill stem tests on four zones of interest. The next well will be Pinelands-4.
