HOEC flows Indian gas

Hindustan Oil Exploration Co(HOEC)has flowed gas at an initial rate of 6 MMcf/d(170 Mcm/d)in the Dirok-1 discovery well in Block APP-ON-94/1 in northeast India,giving hopes of a commercial project.The well is on the border of the states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh and was drill stem tested over around 56ft(17m)in three zones out of a total of 148ft(45m)across eight gas-bearing zones.The three tested zones also produced an initial flow rate of condensate at 75 b/d.
