UK Pre-budget report welcomed

Oil & Gas UK has welcomed measures outlined in UK Chancellor Alistair Darling's Pre-Budget Report to put incentives in place to boost production from marginal oil fields on the UKCS. Oil & Gas UK's chief executive, Malcolm Webb, said: "Such measures are imperative if we are to maximise recovery of the nation's oil and gas reserves and enhance the UK's security of energy supply in the years ahead.
