Caspian Oil & Gas has kicked off the West Mailisu-1 appraisal well on the southern Fergana Basin in Kyrgyzstan.Australia-based Caspian said that the well was designed to test for oil on the western flank of the Mailisu 3 structure.The well is the final one of a six-well appraisal campaign on Mailisu 3,after which the rig will be upgraded to target deeper prospects in the basin.
