Sterling Resources and its partners have hit "significant gas shows" in the East Breagh 42/13-4 well drilled in the UK Southern Gas Basin.Partner EnCore Oil said initial analysis of wireline log and pressure data indicated the presence of a 72ft(22m)net gas-bearing interval.The gas in this new well is likely to be part of the same accumulation found in the 42/13-3 well,drilled in 2007 around 4km to the northwest.
