Never companies to stand still and be content with the status quo, manufacturers of architectural and structural precast concrete have been closely co-operating with British Precast on a wide range of initiatives. One spin-off from this is that, following updates to Construction and Design Management Regulations and the introduction of requirements for safe transport and offloading of vehicles on site, the Architectural Cladding Association and the Structural Precast Association decided to work together to draft a new code for their sectors. This follows another successful code for precast floors that was updated and republished last year.
