MEO's Aussie Blackwood strike

MEO Australia has hit gas with the Blackwood-1 exploration well in the P68 licence offshore the Northern Territory,Australia.The operator logged gas in the Plover sandstone formation after the well reached total depth of 10,778ft(3,285m).MEO said that gas samples are being analysed and initial tests suggest the gas is similar to gas from the nearby Evans Shoal discovery.
