UK-listed Indus Gas has kicked off the SSG-1 well in Block RJ-ON/6 in India's mid Indus Basin with the ZJ-70-1 drilling rig.The well has a planned depth of 11,484ft(3,500m)and will target the Pariwar formation.Since the company's initial public offering it has shot 252km line of 2D seismic,of which 137km has been processed and interpreted.The data will be used to identify drilling sites for a number of planned appraisal and exploration wells.
