ABE MEMBERS LEAD INNOVATIVE EUROPEAN ENERGY RESEARCH PROJECT

Is on-site energy generation the answer to our global carbon reduction programme, or is it just'fashionable eco-bling'? That's the question which a group of Building Control Officers (and ABE members in Ireland) intend to resolve. The group of Councils in the East Border Region of Ireland, six from North of the border and four from the South have come together and secured almost one milLion euros to undertake a three-year research project, from the European framework for Cross-Border Territorial Cooperation Programme, the INTERREG IVA Programme.
