Metal-slag equilibration experiment was carried out using a magnesia crucible, and phase equilibria of CaO-MgO-Pe_tO-P_2O_5 and CaQ-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5-SiO_2 slags saturated with (Mg,Fe)O and distribution ratio of phosphorus were measured at steelmaking temperature. The following conclusions were obtaiaed. Two-liquid region in CaO-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5 system saturated with (Mg,Fe)O existed at steelmaking temperatures. The activity of Pe_tO in two-liquid CaO-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5 slag saturated with (Mg,Fe)O was relatively The two-liquid CaO-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5 slag saturated with (Mg,Fe)O had high distribution ratio of Addition of SiO_2 into CaO-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5 slag saturated 0with (Mg,Pe)O lowered dephosphorization efficiency. Both Fe_tO and CaO activity can be maintained at high value utilizing two-liquid CaO-MgO-Fe_tO-P_2O_5 slag, and this slag is very effective for dephosphorization and slag volume reduction.
