German aluminium industry reports increased volumes

German aluminium producers and processorsperformed well in the first half of2014, at least in view of output whichrose at all stages of production. For thesecond half of 2014 the sector is expectingthe volume situation to remain positive.This is not reflected in the resultsof all companies, though. High costs andstrong competition are exerting pressureon margins.
