Hot-wire/film anemometry measurements in flows with heat transfer and signal correction

Proper interpretation of a constant-temperature anemometer (CTA) signal in a nonisothermal flowrequires some temperature correction of the signal. The object of this paper is to describe the use ofa systematic procedure which compensates for ambient temperature drift in constant-temperatureanemometer operation. The procedure will be demonstrated for a normal (90°) sensor probe.
