CRACK THE CODE

The Association of Building Engineers and a leading training L provider is urging UK building control officers and approved inspectors to update their knowledge about a new code of practice set to become a British Standard this year. DD 9999, the code for fire safety in the design, construction and use of buildings, is predicted to become a fully fledged British Standard in the summer. (See article by David B Smith on page 17.)
