The sustainable safety vision

IAN APPLETON (FIPENZ) visited the Netherlands recently for a PIARC (Permanent International Association of Road Congresses) road safety committee meeting. He attended a presentation on Sustainable Safety, the road safety policy being implemented in the Netherlands; now, in the hope of provoking some constructive debate, he throws out a challenge for New Zealand to apply safe road-design principles with a similar dedication.
