LAUNCH OF STANDARD APPLICATION FORM

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is making it easier for citizens to interact with local planning authorities, and therefore the whole planning process by developing a national standard application form. The intention is to roll this out across England by July 2007. Currently individual local planning authorities produce their own versions of planning application forms that differ in style, content and information required. This inconsistency can lead to a great deal of confusion for planning professionals and citizens alike.
