Exxon gets backing for Norwegian field life extension

ExxonMobil now has all the approvals in place to continue production from the Sigyn gas and condensate field offshore Norway for an additional five years to the end of 2022, a company spokesman said Friday. It comes after the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate last week approved the continued use of the subsea facilities at Sigyn from the end of 2017.
