MOOC adapts its teaching to individual learning styles

The creators of a just launched massive open online course (MOOC) say that it has incorporated adaptive technology so that students can be taught according to their own individual learning strategies. The College of Advancing and Professional Studies (CAPS) at the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) has teamed up with adaptive personalised learning business Synaptic Global Learning (SGL) to use a learning management system (LMS) to deliver what they said was the first adaptive MOOC.
