Arrow Electronics, a large electronics component supplier, went on a buying spree last year, accumulating five separate companies, according to recently released Securities Exchange Commission documents. Of the more notable transactions, Arrow paid $101.1 million for all the assets and operations of Intechra, a company that provides IT disposition and recycling services. As reported in earlier editions of E-Scrap News, the Dec. 16th transaction is subject to a final working capital adjustment. Additionally, it purchased Converge, a global asset management firm, on June 1, 2010 for $138.4 million, which included cash acquired of $4.8 million and a debt paid at closing of $27.5 million.
