Europe plans for tomorrow's e-scrap challenges

Updates are on the way for electronics recycling in Europe thanks to a multipronged approach by several European bodies. The European Parliament has voted to rework its Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) Directive, to include new targets for collection and reuse. The vote, which passed by a large margin, updates and expands the collection and recycling benchmarks of the material for EU member states.
