A wise man once told me that what you see is what you get - but it depends on what you see. Times are hard. We all know it. For those in the scrap electronics business, glancing at commodities pricing these days can be an exercise in white knuckles. Our own tracking of the pricing of the materials commonly found in printed wiring board (detailed on page 8) shows that a slight downward plateau over the last 12 months has given way to a steep decline. It's been the talk of the industry since before the summer months began and many e-scrap firms are out there now singing the blues.
