A series of newsworthy events have surfaced in recent weeks, highlighting a growing challenge presently facing the electronics recycling industry. Responsible collectors and processors have known for years how to quickly and efficiently turn obsolete technology and leaded glass into eco-friendly profit. Yet, the illegal export of hazardous waste generated by CRT televisions and computer monitors continues to be an unsightly blemish on an otherwise clean and efficient industry.
