Australia's new waste policy targets e-scrap

According to Australian Environment Minister Peter Garrett, his country's new National Waste Policy would see 80 percent of all end-of-life TVs and computers recycled by 2021. In 2007-2008, 16.8 million TVs, PCs and other computer products were retired in Australia, with 84 percent ending up in landfill and only 10 percent recycled.
