The energy cost is increasing rapidly day by day with the expansion of distribution system and consequently addition of transformer are also causing increase in no load losses in the system. Specially in the rural areas where transformer operates at a very low load factor. Therefore need is felt for reducing no load losses. Under the circumstances, it was felt necessary to develop a new core material which possesses very low core losses of transformer.
