Call2Recycle, a North American battery recycling organization, has announced a 13.1 percent increase in battery collections in 2011.Call2Recycle, a program of the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation, says that it collected 7.6 million pounds of rechargeable batteries last year through a network of over 30,000 retail, business and municipal locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
