With record monthly highs for the principal metals contained in wiring board, the inherent metal price for boards in December 2010 hit a record at $7.06 per pound. This was up 33.5 -percent over the year-earlier figure and 3.8 percent greater than the November 2010 value. For all of 2010, the average price of $5.90 per pound was up 34.7 percent over the 2009 average.
