Texas moves to require R2, e-Stewards certification

Texas may soon require all processors in its state electronics recycling program to have a third-party certification. House Bill 3465 would require all e-scrap processors registered under the state program to be either R2 or e-Stewards certified. The bill passed unanimously out of the House Committee on Environmental Regulation and will likely be scheduled for a full vote of the House soon, according to Texas Campaign for the Environment.
