摘要

The effects of different concentrations of cadmium chloride on ultrastructure of root tips of garlic (Allium sativum L.) were investigated by SEM and TEM. Progressive changes in thickness of the epidermal cells were observed near the terminal of theroot tips treated with Cd and the cells with the terminal end were partly or entirely collapsed. The amount of the substance secreted on the surface of the root tip cells progressively increased with increasing exposure to Cd. The presence of Bacillus coagulans and Klebsiella was observed on the surface of root tips throughout the test. As the Cd concentration increased, more bacteria appeared on the surface of the root tips.
