Iattended a presentation on Building Information Modelling (BIM) by Dr Stephen Hamil, Director of Design and Innovation at RIBA Enterprises. As I travel around our Regions I hear various views on BIM and thought many of you would like me to plck out some of the interesting points of this presentation. The case studies originaLLy appeared in buildingSMART.The NBS is the National Building Specification owned by the RIBA and the technical content is written and maintained by 25 architects, engineers, landscape architects and quantity surveyors and is updated every two months. It is generally accepted that the NBS is the best technical guidance and clause option to those writing specifications.
