CONSULTANTS REGISTER SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS IN PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFITABILITY IN ANNUAL KPI SURVEY

Constructing Excellence has released the 2005 UK Construction Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which reveal that architects, quantity surveyors, building surveyors, project managers and consulting engineers have shown significant improvements in productivity and profitability over the past year. Since 2002 when Constructing Excellence first published the Construction Consultant KPIs, productivity has increased year on year and reached a high of ￡36.4k per employee in 2005. Likewise, profitability has also improved year, on year improving from 10.5 percent in 2004 to 11.4 percent this year. These results showcase the determination of construction consultants to continue to improve the services they provide throughout the construction chain according to Peter Cunningham, director, Constructing Excellence.
