This book is particularly helpful for readers in that it makes use of a considerable number of diagrams, models and other methods of clarifying complex theories or assisting in explaining risk models -ideal for the student reader or someone unfamiliar with the topic. Chapter 6, covering the financing of construction projects, was of particular interest given the current financial situation of the country. The research and writing were completed some time prior to the wider financial context of the construction industry in the UK at present. Had the timing been different the opportunity to have another chapter related to the financing of construction projects would have been available. Notwithstanding the timing of these events, which are beyond the control of the writer and publisher, the book provides the reader with a considerable amount of information on risk and finance.
