The construction industry is under considerable pressure to produce sustainable energy-saving buildings. It is the responsibility of all those controlling building programmes to keep abreast of Building Regulations (which are due to be updated in 2010,-2013 and again in 2016) and Government carbon-saving commitments. In an increasing number of cases, ewi systems, using sulated renders, are nowsperified to meet the most demanding energy efficiency requirements - both for award-winning 21ist century construction and for modernising 18th, 19th and 20th century buildings.In order to meet these demanding new standards: of construction to achieve tomorrow's sustainable buildings, attention is focusing on the insulated renderrndustry. This is because external wall insulation can achieve much higher wall insulation values than other insulation methods. Tired buildings can be brought up to modern-day standards of thermal performance, weatherproofing and appearance. Property life is extended and values improved. Heating demand is substantially reduced - and any replacement heating systems can be of smaller capacity.
