摘要

Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) calibrations for protein content and colour evaluation in ground grain of durum wheat samples which represent the main cultivars grown in Italy are presented. The calibrations gave high coefficients of determination and low standard errors. Linear relationships were obtained between reference measurements (Kjeldahl test and Minolta Chroma Meter colour space measurements) and NIRS estimates in the validation sample set. The results obtained on advanced breeders' lines showed NIRS to be effective as a rapid screening tool for simultaneously evaluating different quality parameters of durum wheat cultivars.
