Annual Conference & Exhibition

The Conference and exhibition was formally opened by Councillor Lesley Hind, The Lord Provost of Edinburgh. She briefly explained the role of The Lord Provost as being the Scottish equivalent to the mayor/mayoress, before formally welcoming delegates, speakers and exhibitors to the Edinburgh Capital Hotel. Prior to the formal opening of the conference on Tuesday, the day took a slightly different format to that of former conferences, by the provision of trade presentations running alongside the exhibition. This gave delegates the opportunity to network and further their development in relation to construction-related processes, systems and products.
