Architextiles introduced me to the highly specialised volumes that Architectural Design print bi-monthly, and have done so for 50 years! The aim is to keep architects and associated professions updated, provide a forum to discuss new topics and for all to see how successful new concepts can be. This volume is blazing a trail in establishing a new genre in architectural features -textiles. The challenge all the contributors had was using generic terms in a very specialised manner; fabric and textile can mean many different things.
