Combination of automatic gauge control and output increase

The first automatic gauge control systems for blown film lines were developed in the late 80's.Since that time the request for high quality of film,means better gauge tolerances and repeatability becomes more and more important.Nowadays,more than 70% of the new extrusion lines produced in Europe,is equipped with an automatic gauge control system.The retrofit of older extrusion lines with such a system doesn't create any difficulties and it is very common today.Even on lines with oscillating or rotating dies such a retrofit is possible.With a relatively small investment,the film producer is capable to compete again with the production of a brand new machine.
