At a recent clinical psychopharmacology conference I was pleased to hear a review of the studies of Lithium's usefulness in the treatment of mental health disorders, as well as some asides regarding its neuroprotective qualities. I thought readers might enjoy an overview of the multiple fascinating aspects of this natural element that, as a pharmaceutical, has minimal marketing and few spokespersons.
