On the fluid nature of intermediate conductive layers in the Earth's crust: Evidence from electromagnetic sounding and superdeep well logging
The question whether it is possible to associate the nature of intermediate conducting layers, revealed in the upper crust in the Baltic Shield and other ancient crystalline structures, with the presence of fluids of a surface origin is considered. With this aim in view, the results of frequency electromagnetic sounding with controlled sources have been analyzed, and the geodynamical interpretation of the nature of an intermediate conducting layer was carried out in the context of the dilatant-diffusion theory of the Earth's crust fracturing, where the superdeep well logging data have been taken into account.
