A regularized numerical differentation algorithm is considered that offers a possibility of consideration for the domain of variation of a retrieved function in line with a priori information about the retrieved function smoothess.The effet of such information on retrieving hte extinctio coefficient from sounding data obtained with a lidar that uses combination scattering effedts is investigated in a numerical experiment Results concerning the space-time variability of optical parameters retrieved from sounding data obtained with teh Raman lidar are given.
