Break the Cycle of environmental health disparities in vulnerable children

Children who are born into and grow up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage are at greater risk for adverse health and developmental outcomes. The factors involved can be direct - such as exposure to potentially harmful environmental toxins - or indirect, through psychosocial stressors as a result of limited access to good food and nutrition, to good educational opportunities, and to appropriate health care.
