摘要

IT IS SOMEWHAT IRONIC THAT NEW ZEALAND - a world-leading producer of low-level formaldehyde panel products - condones an open-door policy on volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in building products. Following reports from the local industry concerned about sickness among people working with so-called "shonky" imports, and as a result of this Inwood investigation, government agencies are sufficiently worried to be encouraging formal complaints and independent product analysis.
