China has been the fastest growing economy, expanding at 10.5 per cent annually driven by exports and investment. High priority is given to economic restructuring, from an export-driven to a consumption-driven economy during the 12th five-year plan period. The Government aims to transform the manufacturing industry from "Made in China" to "Created in China". China is currently the largest manufacturer of office furniture in the world. In 2011, total production increased by 15% compared to 2010, according to CSIL Market Research.
