CLIMATE CHANGE RISKS IN BUILDING - AN INTRODUCTION

This publication sets out to confirm to the construction industry that climate change is upon us and its effects are important to those involved with all aspects of the building process. It goes on to tell us that the industry is doing little to prepare itself for these changes, proof of which, the writers say, is shown in the results of a survey of the industry that they carried out. One of its findings was that the respondents' knowledge of climate change was particularly associated with their job role. The book attempts to be scientific in its approach, using a risk analysis approach to some of the issues. It attempts to highlight some of the problems that may beset the industry and the areas of work which might suffer.
