Innovative single rolling oil system for cold reduction of tinplate substrate and mill clean sheet at Stelco

The synergy that can be developed when a steel company and a rolling oil supplier form a partnership and ask "How might we... develop a single rolling oil system for tinplate and mill clean sheet" has been demonstrated. By applying rolling technology advances, operational and quality goals were obtained in approximately a year and a half. In the process, additional opportunities that will further reduce costs have been identified.
