According to a recent Vietnamese Ministry of Trade bulletin focusing on the country's wood furniture exports in 2006 and prospects for 2007, pine was the second most important solid wood material by value for furniture, after rubberwood. Last year was another successful one for Vietnam's wood furniture exports. According to the General Customs Department's statistics, export turnover reached US 1.93 billion dollar - up 24.5% on 2005.
