HIGH OIL PRICES, renewed liquidity and strong investor confidence are underpinning the ongoing and unprecedented boom in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) construction sector. With oil prices firmly fixed above US 60 dollar a barrel and more than US 325 billion dollar worth of building projects planned or underway in the Gulf (early 2006 estimate), the stage is set for sustained growth for at least the next five years.
